Mary C. Stamato
LICENSED IN NC & SCAfter graduating from the College of Charleston with my B.S. in Anthropology and English Literature, I surprised friends, family, and even myself by deciding to attend law school.
Throughout my law school career, I continued to nurture my passion for writing by serving as a legal writing tutor and research assistant. I also had the opportunity to explore new interests as a member of the executive board of the Journal of Law and Education as well as serving as a student attorney for the Clinic of Educational Rights at the University of South Carolina School of Law.
Upon earning my J.D. from the University of South Carolina I left for Charlotte, North Carolina with a back-breaking amount of Bar Prep materials and the knowledge of who I wanted to become as an attorney: a service-driven individual, who works closely with clients to find solutions during difficult times, and who empowers her clients through knowledge of the law. I have seen how knowledge of one’s legal rights can completely change how an individual is able to navigate the world, and that knowledge is something I strive to impart to all of my clients.
It was this desire for a client-centered approach to the legal profession, as well as my passion to serve the community, that drew me to the practice of family law and ultimately, Touchstone Family Law.
I am currently licensed in North and South Carolina, and a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar Association, and the York County Bar Association.
When not in the office, I can be found trying new restaurants around Charlotte, reading, doting on my mini goldendoodle, Percy, or even just down the street begrudgingly sweating through a Barre class.
