Christopher J. Culp

Upon graduation from Davidson College, I knew that I wanted to be a lawyer. I was not sure, however, what being a lawyer entailed. I am the first lawyer in my family, and by my last year in law school, I had devoted most of my studies to business law and litigation.

A large portion of my practice has been trial work. I have tried over 50 jury trials involving a variety of issues: from personal injury to real estate disputes. I have appeared in both federal and state courts and have argued cases on appeal in North Carolina’s Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. I am also a certified mediator and have participated in hundreds of mediations and arbitrations in North Carolina.

Most people do not have a personal attorney to handle the various legal matters they and their family encounter. It is my desire that Touchstone Family Law be the law firm for your family, whatever legal issues may come your way. The best part of being a lawyer is the people I am representing. A lawsuit might be one of the most terrifying and expensive undertakings in your life. It is my job and honor to represent you to the utmost of my ability so that you can be assured that your matter will be handled competently.

I truly enjoy learning about the specifics of each area involved in each lawsuit… commercial and residential leases, accident reconstruction, bankruptcy and asset protection, employment issues, mortgage problems, and business processes. In addition to litigation, I assist people in starting business corporations and partnerships, drafting wills, powers of attorney, and trusts.

When I am not working, I enjoy almost any outdoor activity and playing with my three Labs. I am currently on a quest to reach the highest point in each of the lower 48 states.
